About the Program

Master’s and Doctoral Programs in Administration

The Graduate Program in Administration (PPGA) at Universidade Positivo (UP), rated 4 in the CAPES evaluation, began its activities in 2005 with the Master’s program and expanded in 2008 with the Doctorate program, both academic. Since then, it has consolidated itself as an important center for training researchers and professionals in the field of Administration in Paraná.
The program’s primary mission is to broaden and deepen the education obtained at the undergraduate and postgraduate levels, promoting the development of scientific and technological knowledge. Thus, it trains faculty for higher education and qualifies professionals to work in the management of organizations through stricto sensu education.
The area of concentration for knowledge production and impact of PPGA is “Organizations, Management, and Society.” In this sense, the program stands out for its investigation and understanding of the complex relationships between productive organizations and society, always focusing on management activities and processes.
Throughout its history, PPGA-UP has graduated numerous alumni who have become faculty members at public and private higher education institutions and managers in companies from various sectors. The program remains committed to offering academic excellence, preparing its students for market challenges, and producing knowledge relevant to society.

Master’s in Administration
The Master’s in Administration at Universidade Positivo addresses the needs of Paraná and Brazilian societies concerning challenges in organizational analysis, strategy, and innovation in organizations, understood as fields that must be closely articulated. Therefore, the course aims to train qualified masters for developing management, research, and teaching activities, based on solid scientific education capable of developing analytical and reflective capacity, both in the academic and business worlds.

Doctorate in Administration
The Doctorate in Administration at Universidade Positivo is recommended for professionals who already have some experience in research and management activities. Its pedagogical approach is distinguished by focusing on developing the researcher’s autonomy, expanding their capacity in research and production of high-impact and valuable scientific knowledge, and allowing its immediate application in managerial practice and consultancy. With extensive methodological and theoretical training, the Doctorate in Administration at UP follows the current trend of integrating various fields of knowledge and specialties, being a national reference both in creating and disseminating scientific knowledge.
